New Year Retreat 2010

The Many Paths to Stillness
January 8-10th 2010
The Boghill Centre, Kilfenora , Co. Clare

Do you wish you had more time on your hands, or that you could make time stand still? To stand still is to turn the volume in our heads right down, so we see clearly, hear clearly, think clearly and act clearly.

This retreat will be comprised of two distinct days, one of movement and one of relaxation. Day one will focus on breathwork that helps to focus a scattered mind and prepare the ground for mindful practise of asanas (postures). Through Yoga postures, the student will explore sinking into stillness whilst discovering their limitations in each pose through deep concentration and observation. Day two will
be about finding stillness through gentle walking, visualisation, meditation and savassana. The daily routine and diet will further support both a cleansing and peaceful experience for the whole body and mind.

Cost €200 including tuition, food and accommodation. Concessions apply. This workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced. Day 1 requires the individual to have a reasonable level of fitnes.

Workshop days can be booked separately
Day 1 starts 6.30pm Friday 8th – 5pm Saturday 7th – Cost 110€
Day 2 starts 4.30pm Saturday 7th – 4pm Sunday 9th – Cost 110€

What people said about previous retreats

"I really enjoyed the break - the retreat lived up to its name as I was fully restored and renewed for the new year. I really enjoyed the slower deeper practice and the space to focus fully on my breathing and reconnecting. Learning more about the neti pot and various healthfoods was an added bonus. It definately gave me the impetus and determination to implement small but powerfull changes in my everyday life."
Siobhan O'Keeffe

"The weekned was incredibly relaxing, yet at the same time very invigorating. Great yoga hall, great foood and great group."
Sarah Mulcahy

“Yoga can transform your life. It's more than just holding a pose or folding in half. With the proper breathing, a little patience, and an open mind, the regular practice of yoga will teach you how to remain peaceful throughout the rest of your day and can dramatically improve your overall health."
